Frequently Asked Questions
What is Pressure Washing?
Power washing, also known as pressure washing, uses high-powered water spray to effectively clean and restore a variety of surfaces. With equipment that delivers pressure up to 100 times stronger than a standard garden hose, it’s a fast and efficient solution for tough buildup.
Concrete surfaces can be revitalized by removing stubborn stains like mold, dirt, and even chewing gum. Wooden decks can be brought back to life, eliminating weathering (graying) and worn finishes to restore their natural look. For homes, especially those with vinyl or aluminum siding, pressure washing significantly improves curb appeal by removing algae, mildew, mold, and other signs of neglect.
What is Soft Washing?
Soft washing is a safe, low-pressure cleaning method designed to effectively remove organic growth such as mildew, algae, mold, bacteria, moss, and lichens, along with dirt, grime, and spiderwebs. Instead of relying on high pressure, soft washing uses specialized, eco-friendly cleaning solutions that break down and eliminate contaminants at the source.
This process not only cleans surfaces but also helps prevent regrowth, keeping your property looking cleaner for longer. Soft washing is ideal for more delicate surfaces like roofs, siding (vinyl, aluminum, and wood), fences, and decks—where high-pressure washing could cause damage.
Originally developed as a safer alternative to traditional pressure washing, soft washing protects your property while delivering a deep, long-lasting clean and restoring your home’s curb appeal.
How do you clean a roof without pressure?
We safely clean roofs using our specialized soft washing system—never high pressure. High-pressure washing can damage shingles, strip granules, and shorten the life of your roof, which is why we use a low-pressure application instead.
Our process starts with applying a professional-grade cleaning solution that targets and eliminates mold, algae, moss, lichen, and other organic growth causing discoloration. This treatment kills the growth at its root, not just the surface.
After application, the cleaning process continues naturally over the next 3–4 weeks. With the help of sunlight and rainfall, the dead organic matter begins to break down and wash away. Rain gently rinses the roof, while the sun helps dry and accelerate the process—gradually restoring your roof’s clean, like-new appearance.
This method provides a deep, long-lasting clean without risking damage, and it helps prevent regrowth so your roof stays cleaner longer.
How much do services cost?
Pricing varies depending on the size of the property, the type of service needed, and the level of cleaning required. Every home and surface is different, so we don’t believe in one-size-fits-all pricing.
We provide free, in-person estimates for every job. This allows us to properly assess your property, understand your needs, and give you an accurate, fair quote—no surprises.
Our goal is to deliver high-quality results at a competitive price while protecting your home with the correct cleaning methods, whether that’s soft washing or pressure washing.
How long does it take?
A standard wash typically takes between 2–4 hours. The exact time may vary depending on the size of the project and any specific requests.
Will my house come out perfect?
The short answer is no—but we always aim to get your home as close to perfect as possible.
Every property is different, and results can vary depending on the condition, age, and type of buildup. While most homes come out looking dramatically better, there are a few situations that can affect the final result:
Artillery Fungus
This appears as small black dots on siding and is commonly caused by mulch, especially when it sits in direct sunlight. These spores can “shoot” onto your siding and bond tightly to the surface. Unfortunately, artillery fungus is very difficult to remove completely and may not come off with standard cleaning.
Yellow Discoloration
Homes that haven’t been cleaned regularly—or have never been washed—can develop yellowing over time. In some cases, this comes off completely during cleaning. Other times it may only lighten, and in certain situations, it may not come off entirely.
Bleeders (Weep Stains)
Bleeders occur when dirt, debris, or insect residue gets trapped behind your siding. When the home is washed, these materials can seep out through small openings in the siding, sometimes leaving brown, coffee-like streaks after cleaning.
We do our best to identify and address these during the service, but occasionally they can appear after we leave. If this happens, don’t worry—this is common. A light rinse can often remove them, and if not, sunlight and rain will typically fade them away within 1–3 weeks.
